Using Eye Droppers

Children are very intrigued and motivated to use eyedroppers! Not only are they fun, their use promotes so much more:

  • Promotes hand separation (separating the thumb, index, and middle fingers from the rest of the digits)
  • Ideal hand arch development (with an open web space)
  • Controlled finger movements (from mid to end range)
  • Motor planning (a sequence of movement)
  • Eye-hand coordination (visually monitoring the hand's movement)
