Coloring

American Spelling Versions of Coloring Resources. The benefits of coloring include opportunities to promote an ideal crayon grasp, increase grip strength, increase endurance for paper/writing tools activities, and promote visual perception. Children may be encouraged to color within boundaries, as well as move the crayon in a variety of directions (side to side, up and down, circular).  Success with these skills can have a positive affect on handwriting abilities.
