Sensory bins are wide based containers of sensory materials used by children to explore with their senses in a playful manner. Their use can have a positive impact on sensory awareness, fine motor skills, play skills, language development, and self regulation.
Bury the Spring Matching cards throughout the rice. Laminate cards for durability. Add other Spring objects as desired. Encourage your child to explore the rice by stirring, pouring, scooping, squeezing, etc. Provide the child with the Spring Matching Board. Each time your child finds a Spring card, direct them to name the object and then match the card to the it’s proper place on the Spring Matching Board.
Cut out and glue/tape recycling bin images to the front of cups. Place shredded paper into a wide based container. Bury the recycling cards throughout the paper. Each time child finds a card, they will place into the corresponding cup (recycling or compost bin). Once all cards have been collected and placed into the cups, the child can dump them out on the table. Provide the child with the Sorting Board. Direct them to name the object and then match the card to the it’s proper place on the Sorting Board.
Includes detailed instructions to make colored rice. Once rice is dry combine the colors by placing into a wide based container. Bury the Easter Matching cards throughout the rice. Laminate for durability. Add other objects as desired. Encourage your child to explore the rice by stirring, pouring, scooping, squeezing, etc. Provide the child with the Easter Matching Board. Each time your child finds an Easter card, direct them to name the object and then match the card to the it’s proper place on the Easter Matching Board.
